Moroccan forward Yassine Jassim has made history by becoming the youngest Moroccan player to score a goal in a FIFA World Cup.
The achievement came during Morocco’s 4-2 victory over Haiti on Wednesday in the third and final group-stage match of the 2026 World Cup.
Introduced as a second-half substitute, the 20-year-old striker sealed Morocco’s victory by scoring the team’s fourth goal in the 89th minute after receiving an assist from Sofiane Rahimi.
With this goal, the Strasbourg player surpassed the previous record held by Youssef En-Nesyri.
En-Nesyri scored his first World Cup goal during Morocco’s match against Spain at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia when he was 21 years and 23 days old.
The new milestone highlights the growing impact of young talent within the Moroccan national team, which continues to deliver strong performances at the 2026 World Cup.
