Morocco is continuing its efforts to modernize its defense capabilities through advanced discussions between the Royal Moroccan Air Force and Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer regarding the potential acquisition of KC-390 Millennium military transport aircraft.
According to available information, the discussions also include a broader proposal aimed at developing an integrated command, control, communications and intelligence system designed to enhance operational coordination and real-time information management.
The proposal was presented during a visit by a Brazilian delegation to Morocco as part of efforts to expand cooperation beyond aircraft procurement and into strategic partnerships involving advanced technologies and specialized defense solutions.
The KC-390 Millennium is a multi-role military transport aircraft capable of carrying out a wide range of missions, including troop and equipment transport, aerial refueling, medical evacuation and logistical support operations.
The talks reportedly cover training, maintenance and technical support services intended to facilitate the integration of any future systems into operational structures.
The initiative reflects Morocco’s ongoing strategy of strengthening its defense capabilities through the adoption of modern technologies and advanced operational management systems.
These discussions build on a cooperation agreement signed between Morocco and Embraer in 2024 covering aviation, defense and industrial development, with prospects for expanding technical and economic cooperation in the coming years.
