The Academy of the Kingdom of Morocco is set to hold an official ceremony on June 23, 2026, at its headquarters in Rabat to welcome and induct Pietro Parolin as an honorary member of the institution.
The session will be opened by Abdeljalil Lahjomri, followed by remarks from Julien-Vincent Brunie, Dean of the Diplomatic Corps.
During the event, Cardinal Parolin will deliver an induction lecture entitled “Believers and Citizens: Toward a Shared Construction of Human Fraternity after Fifty Years of Diplomatic Relations between the Holy See and the Kingdom of Morocco”.
The lecture is expected to address prospects for strengthening dialogue and cooperation between religions and cultures, as well as the role of shared human values in promoting peace and mutual understanding among peoples.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts to encourage intellectual and cultural dialogue and to strengthen bridges between civilizations and cultures.
