Security services in the city of Martil have opened an investigation into the death of a newborn after receiving a report from a healthcare facility regarding the infant’s disappearance under circumstances requiring further examination.
According to available information, a woman approximately 45 years old reported to a local healthcare institution that her newborn had disappeared after an unidentified woman allegedly offered assistance and transportation to another medical facility.
Following the report, the healthcare institution alerted the relevant authorities, who immediately launched an investigation to verify the information and establish the circumstances surrounding the case.
The inquiry later led to the discovery of the newborn’s body inside the residence of the woman concerned in Martil. Investigations are continuing under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office in order to determine all circumstances related to the case in accordance with applicable legal procedures.
