Marrakech is set to host the fourth edition of the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf Economic Parliamentary Forum on June 19 and 20 under the Royal Patronage.
The event is being organized by Morocco’s House of Councillors and the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, in partnership with the General Confederation of Moroccan Enterprises and the Parliamentary Network on the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund.
According to a statement issued by the House of Councillors, the forum will focus on key issues including global economic challenges, prospects for regional economic integration, investment opportunities in artificial intelligence and advanced technologies, and the promotion of sustainable employment.
Discussions will also address the impact of climate change on food security and sustainable development, alongside broader economic challenges affecting the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
A special session dedicated to Africa is also scheduled, focusing on the African Continental Free Trade Area and the strengthening of Euro-African value chains to support joint investment, production and economic resilience, with the participation of senior government officials and parliamentarians.
