The Moroccan national team has intensified its final preparations ahead of its opening match in Group C of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where it is set to face Brazil at MetLife Stadium in the United States.
The team’s penultimate training session featured the participation of all available players, including those returning from injury. Noussair Mazraoui, Anass Salah-Eddine and Chamseddine Talbi trained normally with the rest of the squad, while Nayef Aguerd continued to be present with the group despite confirmation that he will miss the tournament.
The national coaching staff focused primarily on tactical preparations and on refining several technical aspects as part of the final phase of preparations before deciding on the starting lineup for the opening fixture.
In a related development, approved changes were made to the squad list, with Marouane Saâdane replacing Nayef Aguerd, while Amine Sebaï was called up to replace Abdessamad Ezzalzouli due to injury.
A positive atmosphere continues to prevail within the Moroccan camp as the Atlas Lions prepare for one of the most anticipated matches of the opening round, aiming to make a strong start to their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign against Brazil.
