The port of Tanger Med has launched a new tender process aimed at selecting operators of mobile food trucks within its pre-boarding areas as part of preparations for the “Marhaba 2026” summer transit operation, which annually experiences heavy passenger traffic between Morocco and Europe.
The initiative seeks to improve services available to travelers, particularly members of the Moroccan diaspora living abroad, by introducing two mobile sales points offering fast food and beverages within the port facilities during peak travel periods.
The authorized activity will be limited to the sale of water, hot and cold drinks, coffee, tea, sandwiches, and ready-to-eat meals within the port area.
According to the tender specifications, two mobile units will operate during the season. The first will be active from June 1 to September 15, 2026, while the second will operate from July 15 to September 15, 2026.
Selected operators will be required to provide continuous service 24 hours a day, seven days a week, ensuring that travelers have access to food and refreshments throughout the busiest phases of the Marhaba operation.
