The second meeting of the Administrative Board of the Regional Health Group of Tanger-Tetouan-Al Hoceima was held on Monday in Tangier, under the chairmanship of Amine Tahraoui and in the presence of regional officials and members of the board.
The meeting forms part of the ongoing implementation of Morocco’s regional health reform, which aims to strengthen healthcare governance, improve access to medical services, and enhance the quality of patient care across regions.
Board members reviewed the Regional Health Group’s activity report and annual accounts for 2025, in addition to discussing the 2026 action plan, proposed budget, partnership agreements, and several issues related to the management and performance of healthcare institutions.
According to the figures presented during the session, medical consultations increased by 10.94 percent, hospital admissions rose by 6.99 percent, scheduled surgical operations grew by approximately 35 percent, while laboratory analyses recorded an increase of 24.57 percent.
Participants highlighted that these indicators reflect the gradual consolidation of a new regional healthcare governance model designed to improve coordination among healthcare facilities and better respond to the needs of the population.
