British artist Sami Yusuf performed on Saturday evening at the historic Bab Al Makina venue in Fez as part of the 2026 edition of the Fez Festival of World Sacred Music.
The concert featured a repertoire inspired by Sufi traditions and global musical influences, with the participation of Moroccan singer Nabila Maan, vocalist Ismail Boujia, and an international orchestra bringing together musicians from several countries.
Throughout the evening, the audience enjoyed a blend of Sufi chants, Andalusian melodies and contemporary compositions, including some of Sami Yusuf’s best-known songs such as “Madad”, “Mawlana” and “Hasbi Rabbi”.
The performance also featured collaborative renditions of traditional poems and Andalusian musical heritage pieces, before concluding with works inspired by the qawwali tradition, including “Mast Qalandar”.
The Fez Festival of World Sacred Music continues to host artists from around the globe, promoting cultural exchange and dialogue through music and artistic expression.
