The provincial branch of the Istiqlal Party in Tangier-Assilah has issued a public statement clarifying its position regarding statements attributed to a member of the Beni Makada district council.
According to the statement, the remarks in question do not represent the party’s official political line or organizational positions. The party emphasized that official positions are expressed through its authorized institutions and governing bodies.
The statement also reaffirmed the party’s commitment to continuing its work within elected institutions and respecting its political commitments and existing alliances.
In addition, the provincial branch announced that the case has been referred to the party’s Arbitration and Discipline Committee, which will review the matter in accordance with the party’s internal regulations and procedures.
