The municipality of Kifissia in Athens has inaugurated a traditional Moroccan fountain in a move reflecting the cultural ties between Morocco and Greece and highlighting Morocco’s traditional craftsmanship on the international stage.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Lahcen Saadi, as part of an initiative involving Morocco’s handicrafts authorities and regional chambers of traditional crafts.
The fountain features artistic details and decorative elements inspired by Moroccan traditional architecture, showcasing the richness of Moroccan heritage and the craftsmanship of local artisans.
The initiative was organized alongside Morocco’s National Handicrafts Week in Greece, an event dedicated to promoting Moroccan artisanal products and cultural heritage abroad.
Observers say such projects contribute to Morocco’s cultural diplomacy efforts and help strengthen cultural exchange through the promotion of traditional Moroccan arts and crafts.
