Several customers of Banque Populaire in Tangier reported delays in the appearance of deposited funds in their bank accounts, following what clients described as a technical issue affecting banking services and the mobile application.
According to customer statements, deposits made on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, either through bank branches or automated teller machines, had not appeared in account balances or on the banking application more than 24 hours later, raising concerns about pending financial transactions and urgent payments.
One customer stated that he deposited a significant amount of money into his account on Wednesday morning but noticed that the funds were still unavailable on the application the following day, despite having documents confirming the transaction.
The same customer added that, after contacting a Banque Populaire branch in Tangier, he was informed that the situation was linked to a technical issue affecting several branches and that the relevant departments were working to restore normal service.
Other affected customers said the delay disrupted bank transfers and urgent financial operations, particularly for users who rely on the banking application for daily transactions and payments.
Some clients also indicated that they are considering legal procedures to document the inconvenience caused by the disruption, while awaiting an official statement from Banque Populaire regarding the cause of the issue and the expected timeline for resolution.
