The Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces and Commander of the Southern Zone held talks on Friday with Daniel Driscoll, US Secretary of the Army, at the Southern Zone headquarters, on the occasion of the 22nd edition of the African Lion exercise.
According to a statement from the Royal Armed Forces, the discussions focused on various aspects of bilateral military cooperation between Morocco and the United States, within an ongoing framework of development.
Both officials praised the strong ties between the Royal Armed Forces and their US counterparts, highlighted by regular strategic dialogue and joint activities such as African Lion, whose 2026 edition coincides with the 250th anniversary of US independence.
At the end of the meeting, the officials visited the multinational operations center to observe ongoing drills and the technologies being used.
