Security services in Tangier arrested a suspect believed to be involved in a car theft with an accomplice, followed by a traffic incident that caused damage to several vehicles in the Al Mourabit neighborhood, as shown in a video circulated on social media.
Investigations carried out by police led to the rapid arrest of the main suspect, who was caught in the act of attempting to steal a second vehicle, identified as a small taxi.
According to available information, the suspect, reported to have prior records, was in an abnormal condition and is suspected of threatening the taxi driver with a bladed weapon, with the involvement of a second individual who remains at large.
The arrested suspect has been placed under judicial investigation under the supervision of the competent prosecutor, while efforts continue to locate and arrest the second suspect.
