Royal Gendarmerie officers in Sidi Bouzid carried out, on Friday May 1, 2026, the arrest of five individuals, including three minors, on suspicion of involvement in acts related to theft from parked vehicles in the tourist area, according to preliminary information linked to an ongoing investigation.
Available data indicates that the suspects were active within the Sidi Bouzid area and are suspected of being connected to several similar incidents reported in recent weeks, which caused concern among local residents, without official confirmation of all related details.
Field investigations conducted by the gendarmerie services led to the identification of the individuals, who were subsequently apprehended in separate operations, in line with applicable legal procedures.
