The city of Tangier is experiencing enhanced air connectivity with several European destinations as part of the expansion of Royal Air Maroc’s network, with the national carrier announcing the launch and reinforcement of direct flights from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport to key European cities.
These new routes include Brussels, Barcelona, Madrid, Malaga, and London, providing more travel options and strengthening Tangier’s international connectivity amid growing demand for flights to these destinations.
This move is part of the airline’s strategy to strengthen its presence in northern Morocco and boost Tangier’s economic and tourism appeal by establishing direct links with major European capitals.
The new routes are also expected to facilitate travel for the Moroccan diaspora and encourage investment and trade exchanges, further reinforcing Tangier’s position as an emerging economic and logistics hub.
This development comes alongside broader efforts to expand air connectivity in northern Morocco, including the creation of new air bases such as Tetouan, aiming to enhance links with Europe and support balanced regional development.
