The municipality of Tangier has allocated a budget exceeding 8.4 million dirhams to carry out horizontal road marking works across several streets and main roads in the city, as part of efforts to improve road safety and traffic management.
According to available data, the estimated cost of the project stands at 8,490,000 dirhams including taxes, with a provisional guarantee of 120,000 dirhams, in line with public procurement regulations, covering the implementation of pedestrian crossings, lane markings and directional arrows.
Horizontal road markings play a key role in guiding road users and organizing traffic flow, helping reduce road accidents, particularly in densely populated cities such as Tangier.
However, in recent periods, some citizens and observers have raised remarks بشأن the quality of certain works, referring to the rapid fading of paint or limited visibility of markings in some areas, raising questions about compliance with technical standards.
