The General Directorate of National Security recorded 54,440 traffic violations over one week in urban areas as part of ongoing road safety enforcement operations.
According to an official statement, 8,317 reports were filed and submitted to the competent public prosecutor’s office, while 46,123 on-the-spot fines were issued and collected.
The total amount collected from these fines reached 10,230,075 dirhams.
In addition, 5,774 vehicles were impounded, 8,317 driving documents were withdrawn, and 727 vehicles were immobilized due to serious violations.
These measures are part of efforts to strengthen road safety, reduce traffic accidents, and ensure compliance with traffic laws in urban areas.
