The university residence in the Boukhalef area of Tangier was shaken on Tuesday evening by a tragic incident, following the discovery of a female student found deceased in her room, prompting concern among residents and the intervention of local authorities.
According to preliminary information, the 21-year-old student was studying at the National School of Applied Sciences in Tangier, where she was found inside her room in the university residence, under circumstances that remain under investigation.
Upon notification, local authorities and security services arrived at the scene, accompanied by civil protection teams, and the body was transferred to the morgue for an autopsy under instructions from the competent public prosecutor.
A judicial investigation has been opened under the supervision of the prosecutor’s office to determine the circumstances of the case, while an atmosphere of shock and sadness prevailed among students residing in the university housing.
