As Morocco approaches the 2026 legislative elections, discussions are intensifying within party circles in Tangier regarding candidate selection criteria and the role of political youth organizations in shaping future leadership.
In this context, Ismail Ammari, a member of the National Council of the Authenticity and Modernity Party and its youth branch in Tangier-Asilah, stated that the party’s youth wing has evolved into a space for training and developing young talent.
He explained that this approach is based on investing in human capital and allowing young members to gradually take on responsibilities within party structures.
At the local level, he noted that the youth organization in Tangier has strengthened its presence and attracted more young participants.
Regarding the 2026 election endorsements, he emphasized that candidacies should be grounded in competence and responsibility rather than personal ambition.
These positions highlight a broader trend toward defining clearer standards for candidate selection within the evolving political landscape.
