Morocco has launched a reference guide in Rabat aimed at strengthening the protection of victims of human trafficking, as part of efforts to improve identification mechanisms and victim support.
The guide was developed by the national coordination committee in partnership with the Council of Europe, within the framework of national commitments and the legal system, including Law 27.14 and the 2023–2026 national plan.
It serves as a practical tool for justice professionals and relevant stakeholders to enhance early identification of victims and improve care approaches.
The document also includes methodological tools to standardize practices and improve service quality.
This initiative is part of the MA-JUST program, supported by the European Union and the Council of Europe, aimed at strengthening the justice system.
Officials and experts, including Hicham Mallati, emphasized the importance of the guide during the launch event.
