The European Union High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice President of the European Commission, Kaja Kallas, is paying an official visit to Morocco on April 16 and 17 to strengthen bilateral cooperation, according to the European External Action Service.
During the visit, she is expected to hold talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nasser Bourita, in Rabat, focusing on enhancing relations, expanding cooperation, and discussing regional and international issues, followed by a joint press briefing.
Her agenda also includes meetings with women leaders from various sectors, highlighting efforts to promote women’s role in development and decision making.
She will also visit the Euro Mediterranean University of Fez, where she will meet its president Mustapha Bousmina and engage with students.
This visit comes within a broader context of evolving Morocco EU relations across political, economic, and academic fields.
