Judicial police officers in Marrakech arrested three individuals on Wednesday, March 25, including one subject to a national search warrant, on suspicion of involvement in the possession and trafficking of drugs and psychotropic substances.
The suspects were apprehended in the rural area of Ain Jdid on the outskirts of Marrakech while allegedly caught in the act, with the search operation leading to the seizure of 3,300 Rivotril psychotropic pills and 160 grams of cocaine.
The operation also resulted in the confiscation of 9.6 kilograms of hashish, along with a bladed weapon, an electronic scale, a car and a motorcycle suspected of being used in the activity.
The suspects were placed in police custody as part of an ongoing judicial investigation conducted under the supervision of the competent public prosecutor’s office to determine the full circumstances and possible extensions of the case.
